Athlete’s foot is a fungus that grows on the feet, between the toes. It causes itching, burning, and stinging sensations. It is very annoying but not life threatening.

Most people will experience athlete’s foot at some point in their lives. It is more common in men than women and affects all age groups.

Athlete’s foot is contagious and is easily spread from contact with contaminated surfaces such as floors(wear flip flops in those gym showers people), towels and shoes. Do not scratch or pick the infected parts of your foot either as you can spread the infection further.

When it comes to treating athlete’s foot it is best to start as early as possible and there are a number of natural remedies that can be used to treat athlete’s foot. One of the most popular is apple cider vinegar, it is thought to kill the fungus that causes athlete’s foot. To use apple cider vinegar, soak a cotton ball in the vinegar and apply it to the affected area daily until the itching stops.

Another popular remedy is tea tree oil. Tea tree oil is also thought to kill the fungus and has anti-inflammatory properties. add a few drops of tea tree essential oil to a bowl of warm water and soak your feet for 10 minutes and dry thoroughly and wash the towel to avoid spreading.
